NATIONAL EXHIBITION SHOW RULES

 

ENTRY INFORMATION

*

Entry Fee is $7.00 per Lionhead 
Lionheads MUST be entered in the show in order to be cooped.
Cooping is included in the entry fee.

*

There will not be any fur or wool classes offered. 

*

Entries must be mailed with correct funds in United States dollars enclosed to :    Cheryl Rafoth                                                                                                                   2426 Seaview Drive                                                                                                           Port Townsend, WA 98368

*

Entries MUST BE postmarked byApril 10, 2010.

*

All entries must be accompanied by all fees IN FULL (in US dollars).

*

Checks and moneys payable to the NALRC. Returned checks void your entry.
You will need to resubmit entry. (a returned check fee may apply)

*

There is an additional entry fee of $7.00 for the Statler Memorial Breeder Class.

            *

Ear changes will be accepted via email through April 22, 2010 in the same variety, age and class.

ENTRY CONFIRMATION

*

Confirmation of entry will be sent by email no later than April 24, 2010. 
Each exhibitor is responsible for proofing their own confirmation of entry.

*

ALL corrections to the confirmation of entry MUST be received by the Show Secretary NO LATER THAN April 26, 2010.

COOPING and CHECK IN

*

Lionheads may be checked in and cooped from 2pm to 11pm on Friday,April 30, 2010,

 

STANDARD and CLASS INFORMATION

*

The 2010 NALRC NATIONAL EXHIBITION SHOW WILL BE JUDGED UNDER the Theresa Mueller Proposed Lionhead Standard.  A printable copy is posted on the NALRC Club website or contact the Show Secretary for a copy by mail.

*

We are accepting entries only in the colors (varieties) that have a current accepted working standard on file with the ARBA Standards Committee by January 1, 2010.
Black, Blue, Blue Point, Blue-Eyed White, Chestnut, Chinchilla, Chocolate, Chocolate Agouti, Lilac, Opal, Orange, Otter, Pointed White, Red, Ruby-Eyed White, Sable Point, Sable Marten, Seal, Siamese Sable, Silver Marten, Smoke Pearl, , Squirrel,  Tort- Black, Tort – Blue, Tort – Chocolate, and Tort-Lilac.

We are NOT accepting any standards with changes to the Theresa Mueller Proposed Lionhead Standard or additional colors.  

*

GENERAL SHOW RULES

 

 

(OSRBA Rules 1-5) 

1)

 

Only rabbits entered in the show are allowed in the building.

2)

 

This is a cooped show. All Lionheads must be cooped.

3)

 

NO SMOKING IN THE BUILDING.

4)

 

All aisles must be kept clean of carriers and equipment.

5)

 

There are NO showers or evening restrooms available to overnight campers.

6)

 

This show will be governed by the latest ARBA rules where applicable. All other rules shall be set by the NALRC. Any questions will be handled by the NALRC Show Committee. 

7)

 

All Lionheads must be cooped by 11 pm on Friday, April 30, 2010. There will be NO cooping on Saturday.
 

8)

 

Coop numbers must be marked in each rabbit’s right ear with a permanent marker.

9)

 

NO CHANGES MAY BE MADE TO REMARK CARDS by exhibitors.
All entries are final at 11PM Friday, April 30, 2010.
NO CHANGES WILL BE MADE AT THE SHOW TABLE.  (This is an ARBA rule). 
 

10)

 

All Lionheads must be permanently tattooed in the left ear.

11)

 

The top five Lionheads in each class will be weighed.

12)

 

Remark cards will be used. No remark cards will be mailed. 

13)

 

Report any sick rabbit to the Show Superintendent and get permission to remove it from the show room immediately.
All sick rabbits MUST be removed from the building.

14)

 

No rabbit breeding in the showroom unless both owners are present and Show Superintendent has been notified. 

15)

 

NALRC reserves the right to substitute or add judges.

16)

 

NALRC is not responsible for accidents, fire or theft.

17)

 

ATTENTION
All cage locks MUST BE REMOVED during judging.  Show staff WILL NOT REMOVE ZIP STRIPS. Cage doors must be ready to open. It is the responsibility of each owner to keep track of classes and make sure locks and zip ties are off.

18)

 

NALRC show personnel will not be responsible for Lionheads not in their assigned coop at the time a class begins. Any animals missing from their coops will be scratched from the show.

19)

 

NALRC will provide runners for the open and youth show, these will be the only people allowed to take rabbits to the table for judging.

20)

 

The club will not mail or ship awards, ribbons or remark cards.
Picking up awards, ribbons and remark cards is each exhibitor’s responsibility.  Packets will be ready for pick up after the NALRC Live Auction.

21)

 

The show committee reserves the right to disqualify the entire entry of anyone failing to comply with any of the show rules.

BEST DISPLAY AWARDS - Best Display in Color or Best Display in Show

1)

Best Display in Show will count points won by all Lionheads entered in the show shown by a single exhibitor.

2)

Best Display in each variety (color) will count points won only by Lionbhneads entered in that variety, shown by a single exhibitor.

3)

All Lionheads counted for an exhibitor MUST be entered using the same owner name. Entries can be co-owned but exhibitor information MUST be identical on all entries.

4)

Only first through fifth placements in each class will be counted.

5)

There will be no additional points awarded to BOV, BOSV, BOB or BOS wins.

6)

Class size will be determined using regular ARBA rules, with only wrong sex or color being eliminated. This means animals that are disqualified will be counted in totals.

7)

Point allotment is as follows

 

 

1st place in class - 6 times the number shown in the class

 

 

2nd place in class - 4 times the number shown in the class

 

 

3rd place in class - 3 times the number shown in the class

 

 

4th place in class - 2 times the number shown in the class

 

 

5th place in class - 1 times the number shown in the class

JO STATLER MEMORIAL BREEDERS CLASS

 

Rules -

1)

 

Entries must be included on exhibitors NALRC entry form. Entries must be postmarked by April 10, 2010.

2)

 

One Statler entry may be made per person.

3)

 

The class of four animals is considered a single entry made in the nameof the sire or dam nominated. Entry fee is a single charge of $7.00.

4)

 

The entry designates by name a single Lionhead buck or doe.

5)

 

All animals entered in this class need to be 3-generation purebreds.

6)

 

To be judged on the over all breed quality and consistency of four Lionheads.

7)

 

The four Lionheads can be either sex, or any age - juniors or seniors.

8)

 

The four animals can be of any variety that is eligible to compete for BOB.

9)

 

All four Lionheads MUST be entered in a regular breed class and be determined to be DQ free. Any animal being dqed in the regular show will be ineligible to compete in the Statler class. Substitutions of dqed animals will be allowed as long as the new animal has also been entered in the regular show, is free of any dq, and has the supporting pedigree proving its lineage to the entry.

  The four Lionheads do not need to be owned by the person making the entry, BUT permission must be given by the current owner to use an animal in the competition.

11)

 

A rabbit can only be used to represent one of its parents in a given year.

12)

 

The dam or sire do not have to be present and are not considered part of the class.

13)

 

Pedigrees must be supplied at check in for all 4 Lionheads showing same dam or sire.

14)
  Exhibitors are in charge of getting their own entries on and off the table for the Statler Class.
