2013 NALRC Photo/Drawing Contest

2 Age Divisions:
*Ages 12 and under
*Ages 13 - 18

RULES:
1) All photos and original drawings must be done by a youth 18 years or under
2) Images should be  5 x 7 inches only ~ Drawings may be 8 x 10 inches
3) Photos and drawings may be sent by mail or digitally.
4) Photos and Drawings may be Color or Black & White
5) All entries must be postmarked no later than April 10, 2013
6) Do not matt or frame your entries
7) Youth need not be present to win
8) By mail: on the back of the photo and original drawing, put your name, your address and your age. 
9) Digitally by Email: include your name, your address and your age in the email. Send a high resolution photo or drawing  We can adjust the size after they are sent.
10) Winners will be picked by a panel appointed by the Youth Committee
11) Photos will not be returned in order that they may be displayed at Nationals.
12) Winners will be posted on the NALRC website and in the Mane Musings and photos and drawings will be displayed at the NALRC National Show on May 3rd.

2013 Youth Symposium

We are excited to announce the return of the Friday night Youth Symposium. The symposium will be hosted by Theresa Mueller and Cheryl Rafoth. It is open to all youth members of the NALRC and is free to attend. It will be held at 7pm on Friday night and last approximately an hour finishing up in time for the youth to still participate in the Youth Best Mane Contest. This year we plan to discuss correctly posing your Lionheads and tricks to getting better photos. If you have a digital camera (a disposable camera will work as well), bring it with you to the Symposium along with one of your rabbits (in a carrier). Theresa and Cheryl will discuss the principles of correctly posing and tricks to getting better posed photos. We will also have the popular Question and Answer session at the end of the Symposium, so bring any questions you may have about Lionheads from the Presentation process, to breeding and typing questions. We are happy to answer them all in this unique one on one opportunity with NALRC youth. Be sure to mark whether you plan to attend the Symposium on your entry form, so we can plan appropriately for the event! We hope you will consider joining us!
